Product Composition



Iron is a mineral that the body needs for growth and development. Your body uses iron to make hemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body, and myoglobin, a protein that provides oxygen to muscles. Your body also needs iron to make some hormones.



Indications:

⇒ Anemia of chronic disease
⇒ Pregnancy



Mechanism of Action:

Iron is essential element carrying oxygen, forming part of the oxygen-carrying proteins - hemoglobin in red blood cells and myoglobin in muscles. It is also a component of various enzymes and is concentrated in bone marrow, liver, and spleen. The production of hemoglobin and myoglobin (the form of hemoglobin found in muscle tissue) requires this nutrient. It is also needed for the oxygenation of red blood cells, a healthy immune system and for energy production.



Side Effects:

The product is possible safe for most adults. There is no disadvantage associated with the product if taken under the recommended usage however common side effects include upset stomach, constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, and fainting sometimes happen, especially at the beginning of the regimen.



Interaction:

⇒ High doses of iron can also decrease zinc absorption
⇒ Iron supplements can reduce the amount of levodopa that the body absorbs, making it less effective.
⇒ Taking iron with levothyroxine can reduce this medication’s effectiveness.
⇒ Calcium might interfere with iron absorption.



Contraindication:

⇒ Avoid alcohol consumption
⇒ Do not take antacid along with the supplements
⇒ Renal or hepatic impairment
⇒ Hemochromatosis



Precaution:

⇒ Do not exceed the recommended dose
⇒ Keep out of reach of children
